History
Japan issued a 10-yen stamp at Gotemba on 3 August 1962 for the Third Asian Boy Scout Jamboree. Minoru Hisano's design places a campaign hat with the scout fleur-de-lis on a gridded orange map of Asia, with the bilingual inscription Asian Jamboree.
Ten million copies were printed in panes of 20. Government Printing Bureau, Ministry of Finance; photogravure; perforated 13½. Specimen copies overprinted みほん (mihon) are also recorded.
