History
Mexico issued an 80-centavo airmail commemorative at Mexico City on 27 September 1965 for the 20th World Scout Conference. A. Brisha designed the stamp; the National Stamp Printing Works (T.I.E.V.) printed about 500,000 copies by photogravure in panes of fifty, perforated 14½.
The horizontal design is inscribed AEREO and MEXICO. A light-blue panel shows a Scout tent under the seven stars of Ursa Major, with a campfire at left and the World Scout emblem at upper right. The foot reads «XX CONFERENCIA MUNDIAL DE ESCULTISMO 1965»; the designer’s name and the printer’s initials T.I.E.V. appear in the lower corners.
