History
Sri Lanka issued a single commemorative at Colombo on 13 December 1977 for the sixtieth anniversary of the Sri Lanka Girl Guides. The stamp is landscape, 37 × 27 mm, inscribed SRI LANKA and GIRL GUIDES in Sinhala, Tamil and English. The trefoil on a diamond is lettered 60 and 1977.
Asher & Co. of Melbourne printed it by offset lithography, comb perforated 15, in panes of 100. The designer is not established.
At left a Girl Guide in white waves from a mustard-yellow panel. A blue band holds the anniversary trefoil. At right a red sun and two bird silhouettes; the face value is .75.
