History
Mali issued a three-value commemorative set on 7 May 1979 for the International Year of the Child: 120 francs (child and emblem), 200 francs (girl, emblem, and a Scout holding a duckling), and 300 francs (emblem and children with a calf). Claude Andréotto designed and engraved the set; it is recess printed, comb perforated 13, in panes of ten as two rows of five with gutter pairs, and measures 52.5 × 31.5 mm. Each stamp is inscribed République du Mali, POSTES, and 1979 ANNÉE INTERNATIONALE DE L'ENFANT.
