The issuing authority
Ajman issued its own postage stamps from 1964, during the Trucial States period, before the emirates formed the United Arab Emirates in 1971–72. Emirates Post is the postal administration of the successor state.
Scouting
There was no separate WOSM member for Ajman. Scouting in the emirates is organised today by the Emirates Scout Association, founded in 1972 and a WOSM member since 1977.
