Series history
Unused picture postcard printed in England, showing the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange in a busy London street scene of horse traffic and early motor buses. The reverse is a standard divided back marked POST CARD, with spaces for correspondence and address.
A purple rectangular cachet struck on the reverse reads THE SCOUTS INTERNATIONAL JAMBOREE CAMP 1920. OLD DEER PARK, RICHMOND, SURREY. Old Deer Park at Richmond was the camping ground for Scouts attending the first World Scout Jamboree, whose main gatherings were held at Olympia in London in 1920. The card carries no postage stamp and no handwritten message.
