Series history
A private commemorative label for the Millennial Jamboree of Polish Youth (Milenijny Zlot Młodzieży Polskiej / Jamboree of Canadian Polish Youth / Jamboree de la Jeunesse Polonaise au Canada), held in 1966 at the Polish Scout camping grounds at Kaszuby, Ontario. The rally marked the millennium of Christian Poland (966–1966) and brought together Polish Scouts and Guides in Canada with Polish-Canadian youth of the Canadian Polish Congress. The camp site later retained the name Stadion Milenium from this gathering.
The vertical label carries no face value and had no postal validity. Friends of Canadian Polish Youth Inc. of Hamilton, Ontario — the legal corporation holding Scout property for Polish Scouting in Ontario — issued perforated commemorative labels for the event; an imperforate pane of the same issue is also recorded. The design, signed K. J. Ambroziewicz at lower right, shows a white sailboat under a red cross, a Scout fleur-de-lis badge in a red–orange disc, and the figure 1000. Inscriptions run in Polish across the top, in English and French down the sides, and KASZUBY - ONTARIO - CANADA along the foot. Sources give size about 24 × 40 mm; perforation gauge is not established.
