Series history
Lesotho issued a single 15 c commemorative at Maseru on 1 November 1967 for the 60th anniversary of World Scouting. Victor Whitely designed the stamp; Harrison & Sons printed it by photogravure in panes of fifty, perforated 14 × 14½. The stamp measures 43 × 29 mm. It was withdrawn from sale on 30 January 1968.
The design shows a Scout in uniform giving the three-finger Scout salute, with a pale profile of Robert Baden-Powell in a campaign hat behind him and radiating light; the World Scout fleur-de-lis appears at upper left. The stamp is inscribed 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BOY SCOUTS MOVEMENT, LESOTHO and 15c.
