Series history
Nepal issued a 15 paisa commemorative at Kathmandu on 29 December 1967 for the diamond jubilee of world Scouting (1907–1967).
K. K. Karmacharya designed the horizontal blue-violet stamp. At left a Scout in uniform — forage cap, neckerchief and sunglasses — faces the viewer; behind him Scouts gather around a night campfire; at right stands a large World Scout fleur-de-lis. The top reads NEPAL POSTAGE; the foot is inscribed DIAMOND JUBILEE OF WORLD SCOUTING with the years 1907–1967 and the face value P. 15; Devanagari numerals and lettering appear at the corners.
India Security Press printed 250,000 copies by photogravure in panes of fifty. Stamp size is 46 × 23 mm, comb perforated 14 × 14½.
