Series history
The Philippines issued a 20 sentimo commemorative at Manila on 12 November 1970 in a tourism series. The design shows Pasonanca Park in Zamboanga City: a wooden treehouse with a spiral stair on the right, a terraced amphitheatre on the left with figures in khaki, and conical camp shelters among the trees. The park holds the Scout Antonio Mariano Limbaga campsite, named for a First Class Scout from the Zamboanga council who died with the Philippine contingent in the 1963 air crash on the way to the 11th World Scout Jamboree. The stamp is inscribed PILIPINAS, 20s KOREO and PASONANCA PARK, ZAMBOANGA CITY. It was printed by photogravure, comb perforated 12¾ × 13¼, in panes of fifty. Two million copies were issued. Sources give no designer or printer.
