Top margin GOOD-TURN MÆRKET – 10 ÅR; bottom I.F.O.F.S.A.G. – international fellowship of former scouts and guides; left margin names 3. Silkeborg Gilde. Illustrated sheet numbered 84/261. Offset; no face value.

Series history

Sct. Georgs Gilderne i Danmark issued an annual Good Turn charity seal from 1968. The labels had no postal validity. They were sold through local guilds and Scout groups; the surplus supported Danish Scout work (with priority to disability sections), work among Greenlandic children, overseas youth work, humanitarian relief, and the national guild's other social purposes.

The 1977–78 pane is the tenth year of that seal — the top margin reads GOOD-TURN MÆRKET – 10 ÅR. Fifty labels (five columns of ten) form a single pale-blue picture of Saint George on horseback, lance in the dragon, against a medium-blue ground. Each label is inscribed GOOD-TURN 77-78 and SCT. GEORGS GILDERNE I DANMARK and carries a Scout or Guide emblem: fleurs-de-lis in several colourings, a green tree device, and a yellow-and-blue lily lettered VÆR BEREDT.

The bottom margin names I.F.O.F.S.A.G., the International Fellowship of Former Scouts and Guides. The left margin names 3. Silkeborg Gilde, as on earlier panes from the same guild. The illustrated sheet is numbered 84/261. Printing is offset lithography; the printer is not established.
