Series history
São Tomé and Príncipe issued a commemorative on 6 July 1979 for the International Year of the Child. Format International Security Printers printed it by offset lithography, comb perforated 12¾. The 7 dobra stamp is inscribed S. TOMÉ E PRÍNCIPE, Db 7, and ANO INTERNACIONAL DA CRIANÇA 1979, with the Year of the Child emblem in a side panel. The picture shows children in red neckerchiefs before a rising sun.
