Series history
Liechtenstein issued a 20-rappen commemorative at Vaduz on 9 June 1981 for the fiftieth anniversary of the Liechtenstein Pathfinders. The stamp is inscribed FÜRSTENTUM LIECHTENSTEIN and, reading upward at the right, 50 JAHRE LIECHTENSTEINER PFADFINDER. On a brown ground a yellow princely cross carries a fleur-de-lis split blue and red; a white Guide trefoil sits in the upper left corner and the figure 20 occupies the upper right. The foot is signed LOUIS JAEGER at the left and COURVOISIER at the right, with 1981 between them.
Louis Jäger designed the stamp. Helio Courvoisier printed 1,309,692 copies by photogravure, 26 × 42 mm, in panes of 20 with decorative margins. The comb perforation is 11½ × 11¾.
