History
Dahomey issued two airmail stamps in Cotonou on 19 July 1974, overprinted and surcharged on the 1973 Scoutisme pair. The 15 francs, three Scouts in a pirogue among reeds, was barred and revalued 100 francs, overprinted in black XIe JAMBORÉE PANARABE DE BATROUN — LIBAN. The 20 francs, a portrait of Baden-Powell in a Scout hat, was barred and revalued 140 francs, overprinted in red XIe JAMBOREE PANARABE DE BATROUN - LIBAN. Michel Monvoisin designed and engraved the underlying stamps, signed M. MONVOISIN; the Imprimerie des Timbres-Poste, Paris, printed them by recess, comb perforated 13, with the overprint in typography.
