Series history

On 16 October 1948 the Estonian displaced-persons camp at Kempten in the Allgäu, Bavaria, issued two CAMP POST values and a souvenir sheet, with a surtax for the Estonian Scouts Office, to mark thirty-five years of Estonian Scouting — the stamps are inscribed 1913 and 1948. E. Koch designed them. They were printed on white gummed paper, perforation 11, in sheets of eight: four of the 6 + 14 and four of the 12 + 18, se-tenant, the map stamps turned relative to the fleur-de-lis values.

The 6 + 14 shows a gold fleur-de-lis rising from a campfire against black, with ESTONIAN BOY-SCOUTS and CAMP POST in blue. The 12 + 18 shows a blue map of Estonia with a fleur-de-lis bearing the three lions and a KEMPTEN tablet. The imperforate souvenir sheet of three is headed 35 YEARS OF ESTONIAN BOY-SCOUTS under a fleur-de-lis with the motto OLE VALMIS, and repeats two map stamps above one fleur-de-lis stamp.
