Notes

Scout with trail signs. Domfil 955.6 «Con señales / With signs». Design after the 1948 BSA Field Book.

Series history

Indonesia issued five semi-postals at Djakarta on 27 June 1955 for its first National Scout Jamboree, each with a surtax for the movement. Domfil catalogues the perforated set as 955.5/9, naming the designs emblem, with signs, at the fire-side, with animals and salute.

SOSOW records that four of the designs were taken from the 1948 edition of the Boy Scouts of America Field Book — the same source that supplied the imagery for Japan's National Jamboree stamp of 1949. G. Kloff printed the set in photogravure, in panes of 100. SOSOW gives the perforation as 13 × 12½, Colnect as 12½.

The set also exists imperforate.
