Stars and Stripes shaped as Idaho beside the 12th World Jamboree emblem.
Series history
Dubai issued six commemoratives on 25 September 1967 for the 12th World Scout Jamboree held in Idaho, United States, in August 1967. G. L. Vasarhelyi designed the set; it was printed by offset at the Hungarian Printing Office in panes of twenty and perforated Comb 12. The designs are a globe linked to a Scout fleur-de-lis (10 dh), an Arab Scout with camel and tent (20 dh), a bugler before camp (35 dh), the United States flag shaped as Idaho beside the jamboree emblem (60 dh), a portrait of Robert Baden-Powell between 1857 and 1941 (1 rl), and a map of North America with Idaho marked, flanked by fleur-de-lis (1.25 rl). Some collectors question the postal necessity of the issue relative to Dubai’s ordinary mail volume.
