Green Scout flag with fleur-de-lis above a globe centred on Europe and the Rock of Gibraltar; Queen Elizabeth II profile.

Series history

Gibraltar issued four commemoratives on 27 March 1968 for the diamond jubilee of the Gibraltar Scout Association (1908–1968). A. G. Ryman designed the set; Harrison & Sons printed it by photogravure in panes of sixty, comb perforated 14 × 14½, in the format 40 × 28.8 mm, on paper watermarked with the multiple St. Edward's Crown and CA. Each stamp carries a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The designs show Baden-Powell beside the Rock of Gibraltar, a Scout flag with a globe and the Rock, Scout heads with a three-finger salute, and three Scout fleur-de-lis badges.
