Series history
Indonesia issued three semi-postal stamps at Bandung on 1 June 1968 for the Wirakarya Scout Camp of Gerakan Pramuka. Each value carries a surtax for the movement. Mr. Junalies designed the set; Pertjetetakan Kebajoran printed it in photogravure, perforated 12½. One million copies of each stamp are recorded.
The stamps are inscribed GERAKAN PRAMUKA, PERKEMAHAN WIRAKARYA 1968, SPARE NO EFFORT and REPUBLIK INDONESIA. The 5 + 0.50 r shows a Scout holding a hoe against a hilly landscape; the 10 + 1 r a Scout bugler with another Scout hiking through terraced fields toward a mountain; the 30 + 3 r Scouts at a campfire before a tent, one playing a guitar, beside a green valley.
