Notes
Black overprint International Boy Scout Jamboree, Farragut Park, Idaho, August 1-9 1967 on the orange-red 25 L Boy Scout Movement stamp: same signalling and Wolf Cub design as the 2 L.
Series history
The Maldive Islands issued four commemoratives at Malé on 1 August 1968 by applying a black overprint to the January Boy Scout Movement stamps. The overprint reads International Boy Scout Jamboree, Farragut Park, Idaho, August 1-9 1967, marking the first anniversary of the XII World Scout Jamboree held at Farragut State Park. Maxim Shamir designed the underlying stamps; the Israel Government Printers produced them by offset lithography in panes of twelve, comb perforated 14 × 14½. The 2 L and 25 L show the signalling and Wolf Cub design; the 3 L and 1 r show the salute design.
