Guides tending a campfire at a campsite, with a Girl Guide trefoil flag among trees
Series history
The People's Republic of Southern Yemen issued three commemoratives on 21 September 1968 publicising Girl Guiding. Each stamp is inscribed PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC of SOUTHERN YEMEN and GIRL GUIDES, with the corresponding Arabic legends.
The 10 fils shows Guides at a campsite tending a campfire, with a Girl Guide trefoil flag among trees behind them. The 25 fils is a vertical design with three younger Guides in uniform standing before a stone wall. The 50 fils shows three Guides in uniform standing before camping tents.
Designed by Victor Whiteley and printed in lithography by Bradbury Wilkinson in panes of 50; comb perforation 13½.
