Series history
Sct. Georgs Gilderne i Danmark issued an annual Good Turn charity seal from 1968. The labels had no postal validity. They were sold through local guilds and Scout groups; the surplus supported Danish Scout work (with priority to disability sections), work among Greenlandic children, overseas youth work, humanitarian relief, and the national guild's other social purposes.
The 1969 sheet is a pane of fifty labels in five columns of ten, printed in offset and issued without gum. The top margin names I.F.O.F.S.A.G., the International Fellowship of Former Scouts and Guides; the side and bottom margins read SCT. GEORGS GILDERNE I DANMARK. A small OFFSET · DANMARK imprint sits at lower left.
A large grey portrait of Robert Baden-Powell in a campaign hat occupies the centre of the pane, built across eighteen labels. Around that portrait, twenty-seven labels show national flags of Scout countries, each inscribed Good turn 1969 and SCT. GEORGS GILDERNE I DANMARK, with the country name in Danish (Australien, Belgien, Ceylon, Chile, Columbia, Danmark, England, Filippinerne, Finland, Frankrig, Grækenland, Holland, Island, Indien, Irland, Italien, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Norge, Pakistan, Portugal, Schweiz, Sverige, Venezuela, Østrig). Five labels at the four corners and lower centre carry a red Scout fleur-de-lis on a blue field. No designer is named on the sheet.
