Series history
Labels inscribed STATE OF OMAN and JAMBOREE 71 appeared in 1971 in five values and a souvenir sheet. Each design has a side panel with a knot and a trefoil marked JGS. The 4, 10 and 16 baisa are inscribed POSTAGE and show two Scouts pitching a tent before a snow-capped mountain, three Girl Guides reading a map, and Scouts in cloaks around a campfire at night. The 20 and 30 baisa are inscribed AIR MAIL: Scouts cooking over tripod fires, and portraits of Robert Baden-Powell and Olave Baden-Powell against the Japanese flag. The 2 rial sheet shows two Scouts before a mountain, with the Japanese flag in the margin. They are not an issue of a postal administration.
