Series history
Senegal issued four commemoratives at Dakar on 7 August 1971 for the 13th World Scout Jamboree. Each stamp is inscribed 13e JAMBOREE MONDIAL du SCOUTISME JAPON with a fleur-de-lis. J. Van Noten designed a taiko drummer captioned HAYASHIDA (35 francs), Japanese quince and grape hyacinth — Chaenomeles japonica and Muscari botryoides (50 francs), a judo throw captioned JUDO (65 francs), and Mount Fuji captioned FUJI (75 francs). Joh. Enschedé printed the set by photogravure, comb perforated 14 × 13½.
