Series history
Fujeira issued six stamps and a 10 riyal airmail souvenir sheet on 24 July 1972 for the 65th anniversary of World Scouting, pairing an animal with a scene from the life of Robert Baden-Powell. Each stamp is inscribed FUJEIRA. They were also issued in sheetlets of six, one of each value, and imperforate.
The 20 dirhams shows an Asian elephant and Baden-Powell inspecting the Boys' Brigade in Glasgow. The 30 dirhams shows a stag (the panel is lettered GAZELLE) and Baden-Powell as a boy at Charterhouse, carrying a hare. The 50 dirhams shows a squirrel and Baden-Powell at a map with boys in the Transvaal, 1899. The 1 riyal shows a wolf and Baden-Powell hunting boar on horseback in India. The 2 riyals shows a horse and Baden-Powell as a cabin boy on the family boat. The 3 riyals airmail shows a white horse and Scouts cooking at the 1907 Brownsea Island camp.
The souvenir sheet places a zebra beside three Scouts in tall grass; horses stand in the margin. Designer and printer are not established. Postal standing is unsettled.
