Series history
Fujeira issued six stamps and a 10 riyal airmail souvenir sheet on 24 July 1972 for the 65th anniversary of World Scouting, pairing a butterfly or moth with a Scout scene. Each stamp is inscribed FUJEIRA. They were also issued in sheetlets of six, one of each value, and imperforate.
The 20 dirhams shows a moon moth (lettered ARGEMA MOENAS) and King George V on horseback inspecting Scouts; the caption reads 1909 — IN WINDSOR PARC, KING GEORGE V INSPECTS A SCOUT GATHERING. The 80 dirhams shows a nymphalid (Cymothoe coccinata) and two Scouts in blue uniforms, one saluting; the caption dates the scene to a 1913 World Jamboree. The 1 riyal shows a swallowtail (lettered PAPILIO WEISKEI), a World Jamboree 1929 flag, and Scouts before a lattice tower at Birkenhead. The 2 riyals airmail shows Morpho didius and a portrait of Lord Robert Baden-Powell, 1857–1941. The 3 riyals airmail shows Morpho cypris and a Scout facing an obelisk; the caption reads PARIS 1945 — WORLD JAMBOREE TO HONOR THE MEMORY OF B.P. The 4 riyals airmail shows Limenitis populi and a portrait of Lady Baden-Powell.
The souvenir sheet places an Ornithoptera beside Scouts at a campfire; a fox-hunt fills the margin. Designer and printer are not established. Postal standing is unsettled.
