Series history

Saint Vincent issued four stamps at Kingstown on 9 October 1974 for the diamond jubilee of Scouting on the island. Sylvia Goaman designed them; Joh. Enschedé & Sons lithographed them, comb perforated 13½ × 14, with St. Edward's Crown and CA multiple watermark, in panes of fifty as two panes of twenty-five with gutter pairs. The stamps were withdrawn from sale on 19 April 1975. Sources give no quantities.

Each value shows the World Scout emblem in a purple circle, inscribed 1914-1974 and SCOUT DIAMOND JUBILEE, with eight orange diamond proficiency badges around it, St. VINCENT and the royal cypher E II R. The background colour changes with the denomination: lavender (10 c), gold-tan (25 c), olive-grey (45 c) and teal ($1). The four values also exist with a black SPECIMEN overprint across the emblem.
