Notes
Inscribed 6th CARIBBEAN SCOUT JAMBOREE, BAHAMAS and 16c, with a blue Scout fleur-de-lis in a rope circle. A night camp-fire with Scouts, some in white Sea Scout caps, stands beside a Scout sitting in a pole shelter under trees.
Series history
The Bahamas issued two commemoratives at Nassau on 27 September 1977 for the 6th Caribbean Scout Jamboree. Each stamp is landscape, 45 × 29 mm, inscribed 6th CARIBBEAN SCOUT JAMBOREE and BAHAMAS, with a blue Scout fleur-de-lis in a rope circle. Harrison Studios designed the pair. John Waddington printed it by offset lithography, comb perforated 13¾, in panes of 50 as two panes of 25 with a gutter, on paper watermarked with a multiple Crown and Block CA, diagonal, sideways.
The 16 cent pairs a night camp-fire — some of the Scouts wear white Sea Scout caps — with a Scout sitting in a pole shelter under trees. The 21 cent has three water vignettes: a small sailboat, a rowing boat and kayaks.
