Series history
Haiti marked the twenty-second anniversary of the Scouts d'Haïti with a set issued at Port-au-Prince on 6 August 1962. Postage values show the Haitian scout fleur-de-lis with palm and the motto Être prêt (3 and 25 centimes), a scout saluting at a campsite (5 and 50 centimes), and portraits of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell (10 centimes) — among the first stamps to honour Lady Baden-Powell. Matching airmails add a 20-centime campsite design, a 50-centime emblem and a 1.50-gourde Baden-Powell pair. An imperforate souvenir sheet gathers the 50-centime emblem and 1.50-gourde portraits (total face 200 centimes).
Print runs are given as 50,000 of each stamp. Harrison & Sons Ltd, London; photogravure; perforated 14 × 14½ or 14½ × 14 according to format.
