Series history
During the 1971 British postal strike, private labels were issued for airmail to Israel, inscribed for the fiftieth anniversary of Jewish Scouting. The 4 shillings 6 pence appeared on 3 February and the 22 pence on 15 February. Both are rouletted. They are privately printed labels, not a Post Office issue.
