Notes
Embossed metallic silver stamp. Three Scouts at a flagpole, one saluting, two raising a flag, with Mount Fuji and a tent; jamboree shield at upper left; inscribed 13th WORLD JAMBOREE 1971 NIPPON, POSTAGE, 50 DH, RAS AL KHAIMA. Die cut.
Series history
Ras al-Khaimah issued the flag-hoisting jamboree design in embossed metallic foil, silver and gold. Each 50 dirham stamp shows three Scouts raising a flag, one saluting, with Mount Fuji and a tent; inscribed 13th WORLD JAMBOREE 1971 NIPPON, POSTAGE, and RAS AL KHAIMA. Die-cut stamps exist in both metals; an imperforate silver souvenir sheet places the same stamp on a white card inscribed Ras Al Khaima in English and Arabic. Postal standing is unsettled.
